A little about me...
As the Principal of the Reading school, Debbi would like to welcome you to Razzamataz!
Debbi graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a degree in Performing Arts and then went on to study Music Theatre at The Royal Academy of Music. She then worked as a professional performer for several years, with a varied career ranging from appearing on the London stage to developing roles in new musicals. Debbi also spent 13 years as lead singer with award-winning duo Silhouette.
In 2000, Debbi became Head of Performing Arts at an Arts Specialist School in Basingstoke, a job which she still loves today. Working with young performers is her passion and when she discovered Razzamataz, there was been no looking back, with the Newbury school opening in September 2015.
Debbi became Principal of Reading Razz in September 2019 and is very excited to be a part of the development of this school.

Sasha has been dancing and performing for the past 20 years. Starting her training locally at Steps Ahead Dance School and NCYDC, she then moved on to the University of Winchester obtaining a degree in Choreography and Dance. She has taught a variety of different styles and age groups over the years, mostly with Nomads Musical Theatre Society, choreographing large musicals such as Grease, Summer Holiday and Oklahoma. In her spare time Sasha loves treading the boards with Nomads herself and experiencing all the backstage work that goes in to putting on local theatre.
Sasha has been a Dance Coach with Razz Newbury since 2018 and is really excited to join the teaching team at Razz Reading.
Amy has recently graduated from READ College where she studied a Level 4 Diploma in Musical Theatre. She has been singing throughout her life and took up singing lessons as a teenager, learning Classical repertoire before expanding in to a variety of Musical Theatre and more Contemporary music styles throughout her education. Amy has been teaching Performing Arts for 2 years and thoroughly enjoys the aspect of giving back all that she has learnt, as well as learning new things from the students she teaches. Alongside teaching, Amy is also pursuing a career in Musical Theatre Performance.
Lauren has been singing for as long as she can remember, growing up participating in all sorts of talent contests. During her time at primary school she also developed a love for acting and performing. She loves the entertaining aspect of it all, seeing people’s faces light up with happiness from witnessing the shows. Singing and dancing are still some hobbies she enjoys.
Lauren has been the Teaching Assistant at Razzamataz Newbury for almost 3 years and is looking forward to working with the students in Reading.
Poppy has been performing since the last few years of primary school, and has been singing for even longer. As she has taken part in multiple local productions, often taking a leading role, she has developed her skills and confidence as an actor. Poppy has just left Razzamataz Newbury after being a student for 2 years, and is just about to start at READ College on an Acting Foundation course. Being one of the older students, she often helped out with younger classes at Razzamataz Newbury, and looks forward to working with more Razz students.
